Lay-by
Pay over 3 months, interest free.
A TFG Money Lay-by makes it easy for you to pay for the things you want in three monthly instalments. The store will keep the items for you until you have paid the full amount, then you can collect your purchase.
Not all items can be put on Lay-by and some TFG brands might not offer lay-bys. The store staff will inform you about any limitations.
How it works?
After you've picked out your favourite items, you'll need to pay a maximum of up to 15% deposit and some TFG Brands might require your lay-by purchase to be more than R300. You will then have 3 (three) months to pay for your items in full. You must make a minimum of one payment every month (at least 50% of the instalment due), but you can choose to pay more often than once a month.
You can have up to 5 lay-bys across all TFG brands at the same time. If you cancel 2 lay-bys within a year, you can't open any new lay-bys for the rest of that year (ending 31 December). You can keep making payments towards any existing lay-bys you have.
How to open a TFG Money Lay-by
Go to a participating TFG store* with your South African ID or passport,
Supply the sales agent with your contact details,
Pay the deposit specified.
Cancellation Fee:
If you cancel your TFG Money Lay-by before paying for the goods in full, or if you don't pay for the goods within 60 business days after the lay-by period ends, we will terminate your lay-by and charge you a 1% cancellation fee before refunding you.
We will give you notice by e-mail or SMS if we cancel the lay-by.
As a TFG Money Lay-by customer you are automatically a TFG Rewards member, and you can receive exclusive rewards.
Please note that the following exclusions apply:
You cannot lay-by a TFG Rewards Swipe & Save offer and you cannot use a TFG voucher as a payment towards your lay-by instalment.
