The Story of DKNY

In 1984, Donna Karan established the men's and women's fashion business in New York City. In 1989, Donna Karan launched DKNY as a younger, more accessible diffusion line to complement her already successful Donna Karan New York brand, which was inspired by her daughter Gaby. The original DKNY brand and label have given rise to numerous sub-labels, such as DKNY Jeans, DKNY Active, DKNY Underwear, DKNY Juniors, DKNY Kids, and DKNY Pure. Their stores were launched in 1999 in New York City and in 1997 in London.
