How the Business Began
In 1963, Harry and Ann Grundmann immigrated to Australia, founding HAG Imports and importing European furnishings. As their business grew, their son joined as a trainee salesperson. When Harry and Ann retired, Bill Ryan brought his retail experience, and together with Max, they founded Maxwell Williams, establishing the brand.
